AES has provided professional development, training, and other educational solutions to schools since 2008 when the founder and current Director of Educational Services, Andrae Sims, began providing data support and coaching to schools in North Mississippi.

Professional Development Model
AES is fully committed to coaching teachers with the most effective, research-based instructional practices. AES conducts an annual internal review process to determine if AES’s instructional recommendation has “strong evidence” of effectiveness in comparable classrooms. Strong Evidence of effectiveness ensures that coached instructional strategies implemented with fidelity will yield the desired results of improved student achievement. These highly effective instructional strategies are listed for each academic subject objective and instructional practice objective. Schools are strongly advised to vet all instructional strategies coached by the AES team through the What Works Clearinghouse of the National Center for Education Evaluation and Regional Assistance. In addition, AES utilizes the research and expertise of leading educational experts to provide a variety of instructional tools to meet the challenges of today’s classroom. These research-based instructional strategies are listed for each academic subject objective and instructional practice objective as well.
AES has designed a systematic professional development model that is centered around the 2011 Standards for Professional Learning with a focus on the Standards of Learning Communities, Data, Learning Design, Implementation and Outcome. The AES Professional Development Model is driven by the need for a results orientation and evidence of student outcomes. The model is a cyclical process built upon the constant search for more effective strategies to improve learning results (DuFour, 2016). The professional learning process is to systematically collect, analyze, and respond to a variety of student learning data.
